I was born an odd shade
of yellow on 26 December 1976 in the Buchanan Hospital,
Hastings. Once the jaundice had cleared
up
I was raised and schooled in the seaside town without too many
major medical dramas.
After working for a year
in a dead-end job I moved to the south of
France for a year of
sunshine and pontificating, which resulted in my enrolling on a
two year BTEC Media Studies course in Manchester, which was
jolly good fun and gave me an interest in all things
media...which led straight onto a degree course in Radio, Film
and Television Studies at Canterbury Christ Church University.
Three years later I graduated with
a II:I. I then set about writing my first factual book,
'Hastings at War', which was published by Phillimore & Co in May
2005. A follow up book, 'Hastings Wartime Memories and
Photographs' was published by Phillimore & Co in November 2008.
I currently live in a
small Kentish village whilst studying for an MA in Creative
Writing and working on various fiction pieces.
